Create Partition

Create a new partition on Windows 7 hard disk :

Open the Disk Management console by typing diskmgmt.msc at an elevated command prompt.

Disk Management’s Graphical view :

In Disk Management’s Graphical view, right-click an allocated area, and select “Reduce Volume”.
The partition of the selected area will be reduced, in order to create space for a new one.

It is highly recommended to have done a previously defragmentation of the respective area, to reduce risk (minimal risk) to eliminate parts of files .  ( Program Files -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Defragmentation ).
During defrag, it is recommended to don´t do  anything else in computer, to not disturb the dfragmentation.
